The operating cost of the VPSA-O₂ system is significantly more economical compared to liquid oxygen. It can effectively reduce the company's oxygen usage costs, decrease capital investment, enhance the company's financial risk resilience, and improve the advanced nature and market competitiveness of the Ozone Catalytic Oxidation technology for treating high-salinity wastewater. The VPSA-O₂ system's process technology offers advantages such as intelligent automation, flexible oxygen load adjustment, and high adaptability to ozone, making it particularly suitable for the process requirements of ozone generators and achieving optimal ozone production results.

Since the successful industrialization of radial adsorber vessel, PKU Pioneer has exclusively employed this design in all its PSA oxygen generation systems. The company has executed over 400 large-scale PSA oxygen projects, with single-unit capacities reaching up to 100,000 Nm³/h, serving industries such as blast furnace oxygen enrichment, electric arc furnace steelmaking combustion support, full-oxygen glass furnace combustion, pulp oxygen delignification, and cement kiln oxygen enrichment. PKU Pioneer’s systems have been exported to more than 20 countries, including India, Russia, Brazil, Italy, and Germany, establishing the company as China’s most experienced and accomplished provider of large-scale industrial PSA oxygen generation solutions.

Recently, PKU Pioneer successfully commissioned 12,500 Nm³/h vacuum pressure swing adsorption (VPSA) oxygen plant for Xinjiang Wuxin Copper Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wuxin Copper"), effectively addressing the plant's oxygen supply deficit and significantly enhancing its cathode copper capacity. The official commissioning of this project signifies Wuxin Copper 's enhanced commitment to promoting the innovative application of cost-effective oxygen production technologies in non-ferrous metal smelting.

In April 2025, the project titled "Development of Alkaline Earth-Based VPSA Oxygen Generation Adsorbent and Equipment on Plateau", led by PKU Pioneer, passed the first-year acceptance assessment as a "Revealing the List and Taking the Lead" project under China’s National Key R&D Program in the "High-end Functional and Intelligent Materials" category.
