On January 5, 2022, right the second day after the New Year’s holiday, the Engineering and Technology Department of PKU Pioneer received a “Quality Service Unit” pennant from a crucial client, Anhui Faqiang Glass Co., Ltd. This pennant expresses the user’s high praise to PKU Pioneer’s engineering and technical team for its professional technical capabilities and high-quality services in the VPSA oxygen generation project.

In May 2021, PKU Pioneer signed a deal with Anhui Faqiang Glass Co., Ltd. to supply the ZO-1800/93 oxygen unit, under which PKU Pioneer is responsible for the overall project design, equipment supply, installation, commissioning and other technical services, and shall proceed with the construction upon the placement of the order.
This is the first oxygen generating system PKU Pioneer designed and constructed for Anhui Faqiang Glass Co., Ltd. With the required oxygen capacity of 1800 Nm3/h and the purity of 93%, it is a small and medium-sized oxygen production project, bringing no difficulty to PKU Pioneer at the current technological level. However, the workshop the client offered is an old plant with a history of 30 years, which greatly restricted the construction and challenged PKU Pioneer to meet the customer’s high requirements on the layout and construction quality during the project implementation.
PKU Pioneer’s technical team once encountered difficulties in the foundation construction phase. The walls and pillars of the workshop are of red brick structure, and the foundation needs to be 1m deeper than the underground part of the walls and pillars, causing a high risk of collapse during excavation. After fully discussing the feasible solutions, the project team took corresponding measures to avoid risks and provided in-depth on-site guidance on the construction to ensure the overall safety of the mill. Coupled with external objective factors such as the liquid oxygen price rising, the project was very urgent in the later phases of installation and commissioning. In this context, the top priority of PKU Pioneer was to shorten the construction period to get the project completed on time since the earlier the oxygen plant is put into production, the more cost of oxygen consumption can be saved for the client.

The project team timely gave feedback to the management and received full support. Through resource coordination and the assistance of all parties, the construction procedures were further optimized. Meanwhile, the project team worked overtime to ensure the steady progress of the project with high quality. With the joint efforts of PKU Pioneer and the user, the oxygen unit was commissioned to generate oxygen on October 30, 2021, and all parameters reached the design targets. The performance test was successfully done on November 6, 2021, and the acceptance was successfully completed on November 30, 2021 after stable operation for a period of time. This set of oxygen plant has been operating reliably and stably till now with excellent performance indicators, as a result, Anhui Faqiang Glass Co., Ltd. highly praised and affirmed the specialized services of PKU Pioneer.
In 2021, PKU Pioneer’s performance has hit an all-time high, suggesting that the number of projects to be implemented in 2022 will increase.
