Another VPSA Oxygen Plant Constructed by PKU Pioneer for Non-ferrous Metallurgy Put into Operation

In August 2021, PKU Pioneer’s another VPSA oxygen plant (5000Nm³/h 92%) for non-ferrous metal smelting has been put into operation. The oxygen gas unit is implemented in copper smelting for higher oxygen enrichment, which is beneficial to higher productivity, lower off-gas volume and lower power consumption.

The oxygen unit was also set up on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau at an altitude of up to 2500m, providing enriched oxygen for the oxygen-rich side blow furnace in the copper smelting system. It is currently the largest VPSA oxygen equipment in production for nonferrous metallurgy in the Qinghai-Tibet region. All indicators are better than those agreed in the contract, thus receiving unanimous high praise from the user.

The successful commissioning of the two sets of VPSA-O2 units (4100/93, 5000/92) constructed by PKU Pioneer for Western Mining Co., Ltd. proves the reliability and economy of the oxygen generating units of PKU Pioneer under the harsh environment with high cold and oxygen deficiency. PKU Pioneer’s VPSA oxygen system helps to significantly reduce the comprehensive energy consumption and bring substantial economic benefits to our customers.

More and more non-ferrous metallurgical enterprises in China tend to adopt VPSA oxygen equipment to optimize their smelting processes and lower the total costs. Up to now, we’ve supplied over 30 oxygen generating plants to customers in the industry. VPSA oxygen system is being applied by more and more non-ferrous metal smelters.
