On July 24, 2025, the China General Machinery Industry Association organized a product appraisal meeting in Beijing for the “Third-Generation PU-8 Lithium-Based Molecular Sieve Low-Energy Four-Tower Radial-Bed Pressure Swing Adsorption Oxygen Generation Equipment” developed by Beijing Peking University Pioneer Technology Corporation Ltd.
The expert panel of the appraisal committee listened to the summary report on the equipment's development, reviewed relevant materials, and after inquiries and discussions, reached the following conclusions on the pressure swing adsorption oxygen generation equipment:
• The equipment uses a third-generation high-efficiency lithium-based adsorbent with an optimized raw material formula and preparation process, significantly improving the adsorbent's efficiency and service life.
• The radial-bed adsorption tower design solves the problems of uneven gas distribution, high resistance, and large dead space in large-scale pressure swing adsorption oxygen generation equipment.
• The four-tower pressure swing adsorption oxygen generation process is developed, which, through timing coupling, addresses the issue of large oxygen pressure fluctuations in PSA oxygen generation technology products.
• The equipment breaks through the bottleneck of large-scale PSA oxygen generation, significantly reducing the specific power consumption per unit of oxygen produced (14,000 Nm³/h, oxygen purity 80%, power consumption of pure oxygen ≤0.28 kWh/m³).
The appraisal committee unanimously agreed that the performance indicators of the “Third-Generation PU-8 Lithium-Based Molecular Sieve Low-Energy Four-Tower Radial-Bed Pressure Swing Adsorption Oxygen Generation Equipment” developed by Beijing Peking University Pioneer Technology Co., Ltd. have reached the internationally advanced level and recommended its widespread adoption.
