Tianying Petrochemical: China'S First Natural Gas Glycol Project Successfully Tested

At 18:18 on August 17, Xinjiang Tianying Petrochemical Co., Ltd. produced 300,000 tons per year of ethylene glycol project (the first phase of 150,000 tons/year) and successfully commissioned the test, and successfully produced excellent ethylene glycol.
The project is located in the Second Industrial Park of Alar City, Xinjiang. It is invested and constructed by Xinjiang Tianying Petrochemical Co., Ltd., which was established by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Subordinate Corps Investment Company. It is the first chemical construction project of the Corps Investment Company. In this project natural gas is used as raw material to produce products such as ethylene glycol. The project is constructed in two phases with a total production of 300,000 tons/year of ethylene glycol. Currently the first phase of the Project runs, with an annual output of 150,000 tons of ethylene glycol.
Beijing Peking University Pioneer Technology Company has built a set of 16050Nm3/h, 99% purity PSA separation unit (PSA-CO) and a set of 31200Nm3/h, 99.9% purity PSA hydrogen production unit. PSA-H2). Because the project is located in the hinterland of southern Xinjiang, despite the difficulties of dry and sandy climate, inconvenient transportation, strict transportation control of dangerous goods, etc., Beijing Peking University Pioneer Technology Company’s Engineering and Technology Team persists in renewing the project, strives to overcome many difficulties, and prepares trials for customers on schedule. Complete the manufacture and installation of the PSA unit in advance, and produce qualified CO and H2 to ensure the full line of the Tianying Petrochemical Glycol Project (Phase I).
The project started construction on April 11, 2016, and completed the mechanical completion on December 26, 2017. In March 2018, it officially entered the test of each unit.
