Steel flue gases are by-products during conventional iron and steel productions: blast furnace gas (BFG), basic oxygen furnace gas (BOFG), and coke oven gas (COG), all of which have relatively high CO, CO2, or H2 content with re-use potentials in carbon-based chemical production.

PKU Pioneer, as a professional brand in VPSA and PSA industry, developed PSA-CO and PSA-H2 purification technologies. The low-carbon utilization technologies are developed upon the basis of its air separation processes.

PKU Pioneer’s innovative low-carbon utilization technologies filter and purify CO and H2 from these flue gases, which can be reused in blast furnace injection and steel-chemical complex production. Meanwhile, highly concentrated CO is a key ingredient for blast furnace iron-making and chemical synthesis. PKU Pioneer has separated CO and H2 from BFG, BOFG, calcium carbide furnace exhaust to improve BFG calorific value and to synthesize formic acid and MEG, which are all among the world’s first with great innovative value.
