Oil and gas refers to a combustible, explosive and poisonous gas mixture that is comprised of various volatile hydrocarbon components letting out through evaporative emission in the process of handling and storage of diversified oil products. If discharged directly, oil gas will not only pollute the environment, but also incur direct economic losses to enterprises, and might pose serious threat to the public security as well. Though oil and gas is combustible, explosive and poisonous, yet it has certain economic value. If recycled in a proper manner, 2-3 yuan will be made from per cubic meter of oil and gas. The investment in the oil and gas recovery equipment will be returned in one to two years. Thus, proper oil and gas recovery will increase an enterprise’s benefits, be critically important for the long-term, safe operation of the enterprise, and have a far-reaching significance for both the society and the environment.
